Serving¶
You are standing up an OGC API and keeping it running: pointing collections at data that is already in a bucket, choosing an authentication chain, changing a configuration that is already serving traffic.
-
Learning-oriented. Start here if you have never run fastgeoapi: an instance up and behind authentication, from nothing.
-
Task-oriented. You know what you want; these say how — a GeoParquet or PMTiles collection served straight out of object storage, the configuration in that same bucket, editing one that is live, turning on the MCP endpoint.
-
Information-oriented. Every configuration key, every command, with no narrative attached.
-
Understanding-oriented. Why a cloud-native format can be a collection without being converted first, and what that decides about the rest: the reads being awaited, the configuration living beside the data, and the authentication pygeoapi leaves to you.
